Client had already procured GPS & SIM enabled devices form a 3rd party company which provided a separate dashboard. The client needed the dashboard to be a part of GoodPedals admin system.
Custom dashboard issue was resolved by collaborating with DigitalMatter - IoT device provider - to enable Cloud based APIs that allowed inflow of all device data along with in-situ device management.
Bike Booking feature was handled by a 3rd party site, which disabled our systems to fetch real-time bike inventory across all locations. This data was required for managing new bike procurement, cancellations & repairs.
Due to limitations of external APIs, we decided to match the number of IoT devices & their movements to handle inventory. Example, Every bike not moved from its location after the booking date was considered a cancellation.
