Worldie Draft Fútbol Case Study

The Opportunity

Real-Time Draft Experience

Challenge: Keeping draft timers, team selections, and competition countdowns synchronized across all users without delays or inconsistencies.

Solution: Built a real-time synchronization system that keeps draft timers, team selections, and competition countdowns aligned for every participant, ensuring a fair and seamless experience.

Automated Draft Flow

Challenge: Drafts could be delayed when users miss their selection window, while late selections could disrupt the draft process.

Solution: Created an automated draft system that assigns an available team when a participant's time expires and locks selections once a turn ends, keeping drafts fair and on schedule.

Snake Draft Management

Challenge: Creating a fair snake draft experience required balancing participant order, handling incomplete draft pods, and ensuring drafts start on time.

Solution: Developed an algorithm that automatically assigns draft positions, manages snake draft order, and fills remaining spots when needed, ensuring every draft runs smoothly from start to finish.

Live Match Tracking & Standings

Challenge: Fans needed up-to-the-minute match information, while league standings had to reflect live match results accurately.

Solution: Integrated real-time match updates, including scores, match status, game time, halftime, and extra-time events, while automatically updating league standings based on live match outcomes.
